NOMINATE SOMEONE YOU KNOW WHO NEEDS HELP

 

Proceeds are donated to area families in need who are confidentially nominated by their neighbors. 

 

If you know someone experiencing difficulties who could benefit from a monetary gift, please confidentially share their contact information and what you know about their situation and needs (see below).

 

A committee of organizers will discreetly and confidentially consider nominations we receive and make a gift on behalf of participating friends and neighbors. 

 

Ideally, our gifts directly address needs associated with families, health, and children. We don't give to benefit pets, political causes, or to general goals like to "educate citizens," "explore issues," or "promote awareness."

Preference goes first to White Gables families and individuals experiencing unpredictable and unavoidable circumstances such as a sudden illness, tragedy, or accident, but gifts could be given to offset expenses related to loss of work or general hardship due to unforeseen circumstances. Consideration will be given to nominees who live in the larger community and meet these criteria, and some consideration is given to locally-focused charities or organizations that work independently with low overhead.

Active members of the organizing and planning group or their family members are not eligible, and previous gift recipients cannot receive a gift again for two years. Individuals are welcome to nominate themselves.
